For moi, Fashion Week is finished.
No shows for me tomorrow, but luckily I got to squeeze in a few today:
Betsey Johnson was exactly what I'd expect with her Prom Queen theme: PINK! GLITTER! TULLE! And while none of her prom dresses (which she delivered in series based on decades... cute!) are anything I particularly want to wear, it was one of the most fun shows I've been to. The models smile and pose, which is fun, and you have to love a designer who dances and cartwheels down the runway after every show. She just looks like she's having a great time.
Koi Suwannagate, CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award nominee, gave an intimate presentation of her spring collection for a small group of people -- a group of people that included both myself and ANNA WINTOUR. Forgive me for one second for being one of those starstruck kids that I hate. It was Anna. And I was standing just a few feet from her. As for the collection: Koi's talented, but it's not my cup of tea. Too natural and kind of artisan-y.
Custo Barcelona gave me a little bit of a headache. Everything was clashing prints and glitter -- very eurotrash. Not so much my style.
So that's that.
In conclusion, I'd like to say that I love Fashion Week, and I hate Leigh Lezark (Seriously. Why were you at Betsey Johnson? You only ever pout and wear black).
C'est tout -- until next February!
