More pre-fall collections are trickling in, and though I've said that I have a moral aversion to pre-fall collections, I can't resist playing my favorite memory game with Nina Ricci and Chloe:
Above left: Nina Ricci pre-fall 2008. Above right: Giles fall 2007. Ok, so it's not rocket science. Where have we seen a scarf so big it looks like it's eating you up before? Oh, yeah.
Above left: Chloe pre-fall 2008. Above right: Balenciaga fall 2007. This might be a bit more of a stretch, but there are a lot of similarities -- from the bright tights, to the open-toe boots, to the vaguely tribal feeling and trims. More evidence of my theory that everything created by Nicolas Ghesquiere, Miuccia Prada, and Marc Jacobs is eventually recreated by everyone else.
