A confession: sometimes I worry that, despite the fact that I spend about 80% of every day thinking about fashion, I can't possibly be that into it because I really just want this boring old strapless colorblock DvF dress -- this is such an Emily dress. I mean, Diane von Furstenberg is a relatively respected designer, sure, but she's admittedly not doing anything envelope-pushing or groundbreaking.
Do I need to start wearing kabuki makeup a la Diana Vreeland or crazy hats a la Isabella Blow?
